What is your favorite thing about the pictures? The person who creates the pictures in a book is called the illustrator, and the pictures are called illustrations. Sometimes, the person who writes the words, or the author, is the same person who creates the pictures. In this case, a book has the same author and illustrator. Just imagine how wonderful it would be if you were an author and illustrator and you saw a book you created for sale at the store!
